About Hotel Warszawa

Hotel Warszawa is one of the most iconic destinations on the map of the capital – a building where the history of Polish architecture meets the contemporary standards of luxury hospitality.

Hotel Warszawa, originally built in 1934 as the Prudential building, was at the time of its opening the tallest building in Poland and one of the tallest in Europe. Designed by Marcin Weinfeld and brought to life by distinguished engineers Stefan Bryła and Wieczesław Poniż, it became a symbol of modernity and the dynamic growth of pre-war Warsaw. Its distinctive silhouette dominated the city skyline for decades and was visible from dozens of kilometres away.

The building also played a significant role in history – it survived the dramatic events of the Second World War and became one of the symbols of the Warsaw Uprising. Despite severe damage, its modern structural core endured, confirming the exceptional quality of engineering of the time.

In the post-war years, it was rebuilt and transformed into Hotel Warszawa, while a contemporary revitalisation restored its former character, giving it a new function and elevated standard.

Today, Hotel Warszawa combines its historic fabric with contemporary design and the highest quality materials – stone, steel, copper, and glass. Original structural elements exposed throughout the interiors highlight the authenticity of the place, while the wellness & spa area, restaurants, and communal spaces create a fully integrated guest experience.

It is a space where history is not a backdrop – but an integral part of the experience.
